Most people cannot imagine life without a base, but during the hotter months, liquid or cream foundations tend to look less fresh or feel as if it is running or melting after a day in the sun.  Tinted moisturizers do not feel “cakey,” and they’ll still cover up the flaws. If you refuse to go bare in summer, there are countless types of tinted moisturizers available with SPF.

Typically, you tend to be darker in the summer, so consider a darker base shade and a lighter one during winter. Get creative and add one part moisturizer and one part foundation. Just experiment until you find your perfect shade that suits your complexion. It also shortens your makeup regime, which is a bonus! Just apply your foundation and moisturizer with a damp sponge. This helps to even out skin tones and prevents streaking before applying your powder makeup.
