Everyone loves having a great makeup day.  Creating the perfect smokey eye can be challenging and takes some practice.  The smokey eye look can be created in any eyeshadow color you choose.  Creating a smokey eye look for cheer or dance competition seems to be the new trend.  Choosing colors to match your team uniform or costume will make your whole look pop when you hit the floor.

To get started you will need at least 3 eyeshadow colors, eyeliner  and a eye primer for ultimate holding power.  Choose a lighter base color for the lid, a darker crease color and a bright light highlight color.  Using the diagram below, follow these simple instructions.

Step 1:  Smooth eye primer over eye are to help prevent eye color from fading or creasing.  This is a very important step and will extend the life of your eye shadow look during competition.

Step 2:  Sweep the lighter shade onto lid.

Step 3:  Blend darker shade into the crease.  Blend into the corner of eye and down to along the lower lline.

Step 4:  Apply the lightest highlight shade to the brow bone and inner corner of eye.

Step 5:  Apply eyeliner to top and bottom lid as desired.  Blending the eyeliner into the corner of your eye will create a more dramatic look.
